Project Pan Item #93: Pantene Pro-V Deep Moisturizing Treatment - Frizz Down

Ahhh... It so nice to actually see my collection of beauty products going down. Using up the old, bringing in the new. Just this last week I finished up the last of a bunch of shower gels I put out at the beginning of the year and was able to go thru my stash and pull out some more oldies but goodies to use up. Most of them are summer scents which makes it even more exciting because summer is probably one of my favorite times of year!  Either way, I'm sure you'll be excited to see what all I have and use up!

Anyways, this is my 93rd product used up: Pantene"s Deep Moisturing Treatment - Frizz Down

I actually really enjoyed this product. I only used it about once or twice a week, more like you would a mask. It really did frizz down and made my hair super soft. I really enjoy Pantene's products I just can't use them consistantly or they will over moisture my hair and make it get oily faster. But I still love there their products, use them and would highly recommend them to anyone. At the moment, I have the Ice Shine shampoo by them, which is almost a really deep cleansing, striping kind of shampoo. I love how clean my hair looks and feels after using that stuff. I still have half a bottle left of that stuff. :)

Lastly, I'd like to mention that I finished my book.. LOL. At the moment I'm working on 2 pencil scarves for my best friend! In return for my "hard work", she is getting me the newest palette kit from Benefit "The Rich is Back". I'm sooo stoked about this thing! I saw it on their website before it came out and was excited! Stay beautiful ladies!

PP Item #92: ELF Lotion Wipes Shea Butter

Okay, okay... So I'm a tad bit behind on posting my project pan empties/reviews on here.. I'm trying to catch up, but a book for my English class has me preoccupied at the moment...
Any of you guys read it? If you haven't, you should.. It basically about a world without books, where they are illegal. Guy (main character) is a fireman, whose job is to burn books, but his curiousity gets the best of him and leads to a crazy adventure. The best part of the whole thing is that it really makes you look at the smaller details of life that we commonly take advantage of. Many artists see these small things, but ordinary people don't. Anyways... read it!

On to the main subject of this post: Item #92 finished in my project pan!

These are the ELF lotion wipes in Shea Butter... they SMELL heavenly! I can't even begin to discribe how much I enjoyed using these as makeup cleansing clothes because they smelled so yummy! And because of the lotion element in them, they left my face feeling SO moisturized! I would absolutely repurchase them again, and am hoping to try all of the other scents they come in! At the moment I'm using Beauty Treats Green Tea makeup wipes, which smell really good too, but these are so woth the $3, I can't wait to buy more!

Only about 50 pages left of my book and a visit to So Cal this week, then I will definately be posting pretty much daily to get caught up. I'm hoping to post all the items on here before I make an empties video on Youtube so there will be in depth reviews on the products here, in case anyone is curious!

Alright y'all, I'm going night night! Stay beautiful!

Project Pan Item 91: Wet'n'Wild Color Icon Defining Eye Marker

One word: Crap! This little sucker costed me about $4 at Walmart, and wasn't even worth that! Usually I absolutely love Wet'n'Wild stuff but not this time. It was difficult to put on and I literally got to use it about 5 times before it just dried out and wouldn't work at all anymore. I would never repurchase this again unless they redid it somehow. Like I said, I'm usually a fan of Wet'n'Wild and lately they have hads smokin' good products. But not this. Save your money and your time. Here's a better picture of the product:
Sorry, to be a disappointment this time. Just save your money.

Project Pan Overview & Item 90

Alright, so here's the dealeo.. for anyone who doesn't know, I am currently on this kick called Project 300 Pan. If you  already know what this is you can just skip over this next part...

Project 300 pan is basically a motivational, goal setting way to use up older makeup and beauty products that are close to expiring OR already expired! How each person runs it depends on the person. You can choose how ever many items you would like, how long you would like to go on it, etc. So for my project pan I've chosen to do 300 items for as long as it takes me and I am not on a no buy restriction. Some people would consider this kinda contadictory, but I don't because until about the last six months I hardly bought ANY beauty products. So I'm trying to get back into more current makeup and beauty products and use up all of my old stuff while I grow my new collection! And if you REALLY know me, you know that I have always been a Barbie girl and loooooooove my girly stuff. So thats why I'm doing project 300 pan!

Okay now on to the fun part! I currently hit my 90th empty in my project pan and thought that from now on, I would do a review on the items I finish! Well, at least until I hit my 300th item, then I will think of something new to do! So without futher ado....

ITEM #90: Herbal Essences Break's Over Conditioner

Now for those of you who don't know or haven't tried Herbal Essences, the brand itself is good. They items all smell good, making for a pleasant experience. This particular "Break's Over" line use to be my absolute FAVORITE! Yes, that's right, I said 'use to'. When I first picked this set up, it was because I fell head over heels for the scent... and then they changed it!!!! Don't you hate it when that happens? I do! I mean, the new scent doesn't smell bad or anything, its just not the same to me. However I may someday buy it again because I did love the formula of the shampoo and what it did for my hair!

Of course, there's always a rainbow at the end of the tunnel.... Herbal Essences has brought back my all time favorite shampoo and conditioner! It reminds me of my younger days, so you know I've already picked up a set!

Better make sure and stock up this time, just in case they take it away again, or worse.... change the scent!

Well, one more product down, only 210 items left to go!

Until next time, stay beautiful!

I'm back!

Alright, so I know its been quite a while since I have blogged anything, but thats all about to change! My March new year's resolution was to start blooging again! Every day if I can! However things are going to be a bit different now...

I originally started this blog as a crafter,  but now it won't be just crafts anymore. A huge deal of it will still be crafting, yes, but as many of you may or may not know, I am also a big beauty guru, so I will be having a bunch of beauty related posted on here too! I'm currently working on a huge project pan and will be doing posts about that... More on this in next week's posts!!

For those of you who don't know, my business, AKL, is well under way! At the moment it is homemade items that I sell at craft shows and on my Etsy : www.etsy.com/shop/missakl .... but its not going to be just homemade stuff for long. I will soon be offering other services... More on this in future posts as they happen! You'll just have to stay tuned.. I have a HUGE major "life plan" that I am slowly but surely working out, and everything I am doing will all eventually fit together.. I know this probably puts a huge question mark over your head, but you're just going to have to subscribe and watch it unfold!

Lastly, I will be doing posts about life and my family, especially, my little boy Lewis! He's one and a half already! We have so many adventures together and I think you all will enjoy them, so I'm going to share. And I'm sure that I will be ranting about school occasionally on here too!

In conclusion, life is an amazing beautiful work of art and I don't plan on wasting a single minute of it! So if you'd like to tag along, feel free to do so! Many grand adventures await!

See tomorrow!

Scrub-a-Dub-Dub

Wow, I'm amazed at how much attention a newborn takes... I feel like I've been going non stop since he was born. Some short term courses are starting at my college on Monday that I'm hoping to add.. I only need 3 more classes and then I can apply for my program! So if I get in those 3 classes, I can apply this Dec/Jan and pray that my name gets called!! In the meantime and if I don't add the classes then I will just have to wait another year.. Sigh.
Anywho, I've been working on many different projects but haven't finished anything (don't you hate that?). BUT on the plus side I sold a few things, including a scrub shirt.. which I'm in the process of making! So while dragging out that fabric, I proceeded to drag out ALL my 'scrub' fabric so I could make some for my mother-in-law so she can sell some at her work. Here is what I pulled out so far, though I know I have more...

I'll have a few scrubs up for sale in my Etsy shop soon.. be sure to check it out!!

Stay tuned!

Fashion District Challenge #1

Sooo... despite the recent extremely hot weather, living in LA county still has its advantages, one of them being any crafters dream, a place called Fashion District! To briefly discribe this heaven on earth, they have everything any crafter would ever need plus some at a rediculously low price. O happy day!!!

Anyways, a few days ago I went there with a couple friends.. Here is what I picked up for a whopping $25!!

Of course after a score like that, who wouldn't wanna go back and spend more?? So I had to make a deal with myself (because my inventory is really starting to build up on me, making me feel like a hoarder...) that before I can go back and buy more I have to use what I just got (except for the patterns, buttons and trim) and finish 5 other projects! So in an effort to get organized I started to make a list of all the projects I have going or want to do... So far its a page and a half :p... not to mention the 5 Halloween costumes I'm making and Christmas being just around the corner with presents that I haven't put on the list yet.. Sigh.. However I did manage to get started with this "Fashion District Challange #1" as I like to call it :) so here is what I have made so far....

Here is the back side to this dress... I was quite proud of myself because I made this one without a pattern and a small scrap of fabric! I didn't think I was going to have enough to finish it but I did!

I also have plans for all the other stuff except for the two zebra print fabrics which I'm still trying to figure out! And for my 5 additional items I am going to finish a dollie, thank you cards, the lamp I'm making for a friend, a sign and a costume! Alas, I better get to it or else i'll never get to go to district again!! :p

Stay creative!
